We are very pleased to announce that Nakema Walker has accepted the position of Service Director for the Toronto/Peel area, starting February 1, 2019.

Nakema has over 10 years of extensive experience providing therapy to individuals with diverse and complex psychiatric, behavioural, functional, psychosocial, addictions and physical needs as a result of a brain injury or other serious trauma. Nakema’s client-centered and family systems approach ensures individuals have the greatest chance of a successful recovery when transitioning back to their home and community. She believes in collaboration and maintaining effective working relationships with those responsible for service development and delivery. She is a member in good standing with the Vocational Rehabilitation Association of Canada (VRA) and has received certification from Brock University in partnership with the Ontario Brain Injury Association.

She will be working closely with service directors, Cynthia Sprigings and Leslie Allen, ensuring we continue to build and maintain a pool of highly experienced Rehabilitation Support Workers in order to meet the needs of our clients and service partners.
